The app
Gateboard shows live airport arrival and departure boards for personal, informational use. In-app purchases are also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Flight information
Flight data is licensed from Avinor for Norwegian airports (Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data 2.0) and from AeroDataBox worldwide (paid commercial licence). We display it; we cannot sublicense it to you.
Flight data comes from third-party sources and can lag or contain errors. Gateboard is not a substitute for information from your airline or airport, and we accept no liability for missed flights or decisions made on the basis of the app. Verify critical times with your carrier.
Subscriptions
- Gateboard Pro: $3.99/month, or $29.99/year. New subscribers to the annual plan pay $0.99 for the first month, then $29.99/year.
- Free tier: 3 boards or flights per device, kept for the life of the device. Reopening one you have already unlocked costs nothing, so you can watch it as long as you like.
- Pro: every airport we carry, and up to 10 flights followed for landing alerts at a time. Fair use caps fresh data at 400 loads per device per day. A board left open refreshes about every three minutes, and each refresh past the cache window counts as one load; Norwegian airports come from a free public feed and are never counted. Ordinary use comes nowhere near the cap. See Live data availability below.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, in Settings → Subscriptions.
- The $0.99 first month is an introductory price, offered once, to new subscribers only. Prices may vary by region.
Fair use
You may not scrape, harvest, redistribute, or resell data obtained through Gateboard or its servers, nor use automated tools against our service. The flight data is licensed to us for display in this app only.
Live data availability
Live times come from a shared, metered flight-data feed. Your Pro allowance is a per-device ceiling on your own use, not a reservation of that feed. Under unusual load Gateboard shows the most recent cached times, marked as such, rather than failing; it will pause landing alerts before it changes anything about the boards. Scheduled times stay available throughout.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
